Overview

Pearson Manufacturing offers access to mechanical subassembly, fit‑up, kitting, and validation via a hybrid fulfillment model. Some projects are completed at our Ontario facility, while others are routed through our vetted Canadian supplier network. We coordinate inspection, labeling, and shipment so your assemblies meet requirements before arriving at your floor.

⚠️ We do not manufacture or assemble all components in‑house — we act as your sourcing and fulfillment partner based on your drawings, BOM, and test plan.

Capabilities We Provide Access To

  • Mechanical fit‑up of machined & fabricated parts
  • Fastener installation with torque validation & witness marks when specified
  • Press‑fit bushing, pin, and bearing assembly (arbor/thermal methods as required)
  • Test‑fit verification with mating components & functional check jigs
  • Kitting, labeling, and barcode generation for pilot or field kits
  • First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR) and inspection reports on request
  • Packaging to spec for drop‑ship, line‑side delivery, or staging

Equipment Used In‑House or by Our Partners

  • Height‑adjustable assembly benches & modular fixtures
  • Preset torque drivers/wrenches and validation fixtures
  • Arbor press and bushing/insert tooling
  • CMM access and calibrated gauges (pin, thread, go/no‑go)
  • Label printers & barcode generation; part marking where specified
  • Clean kitting & packaging stations

Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

  • Provide **tightening specs** (torque + tolerance, sequence, lubrication). Add witness‑mark requirement if needed.
  • Call out **press‑fit classes** and thermal methods (freeze/heat) for bearings/bushings; specify fixturing constraints.
  • Define **critical datums** and allowable **stack‑up**; include gauge references for go/no‑go acceptance.
  • Share **work instructions**/traveler, inspection plan, and labeling scheme (PN, rev, lot, barcode symbology).
  • Indicate **packaging & ESD** needs (if any) and drop‑ship label formats for your end customer.
  • Flag any **safety/functional tests** (e.g., leak, force, motion) and acceptance thresholds.

We’ll review your traveler/work instruction, acceptance criteria, and packaging to confirm achievable specs and the best routing (in‑house or partner) before kickoff.

Typical Applications

  • Subassemblies with bearings, shafts, spacers, and seals
  • Mechanical enclosures, brackets, and panel box builds
  • Pilot builds and low‑volume kits with full labeling & BOM checkoff
  • Jigs/fixtures requiring documented torque or fit verification
  • Final QC stations for visual, dimensional, and function checks

FAQs

Is assembly done in‑house or externally?

Both. Some subassemblies are completed at our Ontario facility; others are routed through trusted Canadian partners — all coordinated under our QA process and your specifications.

Do you offer electrical testing?

Our scope is mechanical fit‑up and validation. If your build requires electrical test or harness work, we coordinate with qualified partners per your drawings and test plans.

Can you provide First Article Inspection (FAI/FAIR)?

Yes. On request, we can coordinate FAI/FAIR documentation and dimensional reports before production release.

Can you pre‑assemble and kit parts for pilot runs?

Yes. We regularly handle kitting, labeling, and packaging to your traveler or work instruction for pilot or low‑volume builds.
