Centerless Grinding FAQs
Is centerless grinding performed in-house or through partners?
Both. We fulfill some centerless grinding jobs at our Ontario facility, while others are completed through trusted Canadian partners depending on lead time, material, and volume. We coordinate quoting, QA, and delivery across both.
What diameter and length ranges can you grind?
We grind diameters from 0.5 mm up to 75 mm and lengths up to 2 m using through-feed and in-feed setups.
What tolerances and surface finishes do you achieve?
Typical tolerances are ±0.005 mm, with surface finishes down to Ra 0.1 µm using spark-out techniques.
Do you support high-volume and small batch work?
Yes. Whether a single prototype or thousands of parts, we offer flexible fulfillment models for both.
Which materials can be ground?
We support grinding for steel, stainless, brass, aluminum, inconel, and specialty alloys using appropriate abrasive wheels.
